This is a rough outline of how I think I may get to London:
Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, (round Tasmania), Adelaide, Alice Springs via Oodnadatta Track, Darwin.
…boat to Indonesia… probably Ambon or Kupang
SE Asia: Island hop through Indonesia, with a detour to visit a mate on a little island off Sumatra where I spent the best part of 8 months. Padang to Medan.
…boat from Medan (Sumatra, Indonesia) to Penang (Northern part of Malaysia)…
Up through: Malaysia, Thailand, (maybe Cambodia), Laos, and into Southern China.
Asia: Tibet, Nepal, India, (maybe Sri Lanka), Pakistan, back into China via the Karakoram Highway. West through the Stans (visas permitting).
Middle East: Iran, Turkey, boat to Greece.
Europe: North along the Adriatic coast, across the top of Italy, into France, up through the French Alps, into Switzerland. North to Germany, follow the Rhine into Holland. Down through Belgium, back into France, across to the UK.
No idea what will happen then…
